JRF extends its services to support the health of the underprivileged rural population through free health centers for general checkups and prescriptions.
Along with the health centers,eye examination centers which have benefitted over 1,000 people. In collaboration with partner hospitals, many patients have had their cataracts treated.
While Indias economy continues to grow rapidly, hundreds of millions of people across the country still live with poverty, malnutrition, unhygienic living conditions, and without access to clean drinking water.Since it was a drought prone area, there was no pond water that can be used by the villagers for utilities and cattle, resulting in unhygienic and poor circumstances where children and community members could not bathe and keep themselves tidy due to lack of water. A major attendance issue was observed in the schools for girl students as they could not go to school because they were involved in the task of obtaining drinking water from remote locations.
